Cynthia Close has had an extensive career working in the non-profit sector of education, fundraising and management. For twenty years she was the Executive Director and President of Documentary Educational Resources (www.der.org) a non-profit producer and distributor of educational materials and ethnographic film. She is a free-lance writer for many professional publications such as Vermont Woman and acts as contributing editor for Documentary Magazine.
